Job Description
Sanitation Supervisor – Toledo, OH
A & M Cheese is a processor and distributor of fine cheeses in the US, and is currently looking for you to fill the role as a Sanitation Supervisor at our Toledo, OH location and become part of our 2nd shift team. As the Sanitation Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning of equipment, facility and the grounds according to company sanitation standards.
What you will be doing
- Overseeing the sanitation work of up to 6 team members.
- Assigning tasks to team members based on daily inspections and master cleaning schedules.
- Verifying team member time sheets for accuracy.
- Performing team member evaluations.
- Maintaining sanitation and cleaning supplies.
- Maintaining sanitation equipment and performing minor repairs
- Maintaining accurate sanitation records.
- Participates in safety and sanitation inspections and accident investigations.
- Ensures all production equipment, tools, machinery are properly cleaned and assembled.
Job Requirements
Who you are
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 1 – 3 yrs. experience in food processing, sanitation training and completion of the AIB Food Processing Sanitation/Hygiene Program.
- Knowledge and training of sanitation chemicals, cleaning equipment, and integrated pest management techniques.
- AIB Processing Sanitation/Hygiene Certificate
- Ability to operate industrial trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work at heights up to 20 feet.
- Basic mechanical skills, using hand tools and assembling and disassembling of mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday – Friday and provide backup and vacation relief for production supervisors.
