Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Vocational or technical certification (Preferred)
- 2+ years of practical experience in a service technician or battery maintenance role (Required)
- Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics. Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams. (Preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company (Required)
- Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, battery, electric and pneumatic, vacuums, dust collectors, ladders and material handling equipment i.e. forklifts and pallet riders
- Have or be willing to be trained for Fork Lift Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute nightly tasks.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail, task management, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to coworkers, management, internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to walk/stand for most of the shift.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to use hands and good eyesight for physical activities, such as frequent use of hand and power tools.
- This is a full time position. The typical schedule for this position is Sunday thru Thursday 3:00pm to 11:00 pm.

Warehouse Technician – 2nd Shift – Toledo OH
The Warehouse Technician is an experienced maintenance position primarily responsible for maintenance of all batteries, battery charging equipment, and handling of batteries in all electrically powered machines. This position will also be responsible for various preventative maintenance and repair tasks of material moving equipment. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects electrical connections, wiring charging relays, charging equipment, and storage batteries.
- Disconnects electrical leads and removes battery, using hand tools and hoist.
- Tests condition, fluid level, and specific gravity of electrolyte cells, using voltmeter, hydrometer, and thermometer.
- Adds water and acid to battery cells to obtain specified concentration.
- Cleans cells, cell assemblies, leads, electrical connections, and battery poles, using scraper, steam, water, emery cloth, power grinder, or acid. Will also keep work areas clean and organized.
- Repairs or adjusts defective parts, using hand tools or power tools.
- Repairs battery-charging equipment.
- Connects battery to battery charger and adjusts controls to properly charge battery.
- Installs recharged or repaired battery or cells, using hand and power tools.
- Perform basic repairs or PMs of forklifts and riders using hand and power tools as required. Replaces defective parts, such as fuses, lead parts, switches, wires, rheostat, and wheels.
- Compiles operating and maintenance records.
- Helps warehouse personnel change batteries in equipment as needed.
- Perform facility maintenance tasks or other duties as needed.
